Maximize Your Proceeds by Consignment

TLC Estate Jewelry, TC Leary, Oceanside,Are you wary of the ads that advocate the sale of your jewelry to scrap gold dealers by mail or in person?  Do the words  ’unwanted gold’  inspire confidence?

Those who use gold and unwanted in the same sentence are not looking out for your best interest but rather the fast buck.   Wouldn’t it be a shame  to discover later that your unwanted gold was instead a one of a kind piece of  great value.    It is sad but true that when gold rises these wolves in sheeps clothing appear and are looking to prey on the less informed.

Often times the jewelry can be sold for more than the pure gold content.  Additionally some of these dealers will actually deduct for the gemstones set in the jewelry.  Often only a fraction of the value of the diamonds is realized.

You may think that this is terrible but to be fair when cash is laid out in advance and it is not known when or if the piece will sell.   On the other hand if a piece of jewelry is taken in on consignment the agreed well researched price is paid after the piece is sold.

My recommendation if you are going to want to liquidate your jewelry act quickly and get a quote for both a cash sale and a consignment price.  If you have allowed yourself the time to do it you will be ahead financially if you consign.  We at TLC Estate Jewelry will be pleased to give you a complimentary evaluation of your jewels for purposes of sale or consignment.
